The May new issues are now available at County Stamp Center. Click the post title to view all 285 new stamps! There's tremendous variety in this newly issued batch. Among my favorites is this three-stamp series on shipwrecks from Australia. The drawings have the look of sailor's scrimshaw. In the early 1800s sailors used crude sailing needles to carve elaborate pictures into whale teeth or bone.
